The Philadelphia Soul (6-4) are visiting the Atlantic City Blackjacks (4-6) at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. Last week the Soul wrapped up their third win in a row when they defeated the Albany Empire 54-43. The Blackjacks just won a game in which they destroyed the Washington Valor 70-41.

With the Soul win last week, Clint Dolezel moves up to seventh of the all time on the AFL wins list. But even he said last week that the list isn’t important with the bigger picture of making the playoffs and eventually the ArenaBowl. The Soul would then clinch a playoff spot with last week’s win and are in second place of the standings right behind the Albany Empire. Last week quarterback Dan Raudabaugh said they could very well make the number one seed if things go their way and win out which is certainly what they are looking to do!

Coming into this game the Soul are 2-0 all time against the Blackjacks as they beat them twice at home this year. The Soul have also gotten eight straight wins against teams in which Ron James coached and are looking to extend the win streak. The last time the Soul played at Boardwalk Hall was in 2015 when they beat the Las Vegas Outlaws 51-43.

The Blackjacks are coming into this game looking to win and further secure a playoff spot as they are not completely out of the playoff race just yet. While their record (4-6) doesn’t look pretty, they are an impressive (3-1) at Boardwalk Hall. The biggest challenge for the Blackjacks this week is for backup QB Warren Smith taking his first start against the Soul in the place of the injured Randy Hippeard.

The game will be broadcasted on the local NBC Sports Network Philly+ channel local to both Philadelphia and Atlantic City areas. The game will also be broadcasted on the Arena Football Leagues’ website and ESPN 3 through a cable provider or the ESPN app. The game will also be on the radio through the local 97.5 The Fanatic station in Philadelphia, and 97.3 ESPN radio in Atlantic City.
