PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Soul announced today that Vice President of Business Operations, Marc Zamarin, has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer of the organization, responsible for the overall operation of the Soul franchise. The move comes as Soul President, John Adams, takes on an active role with the League Office as the President of the Arena Football League.

“Marc has done an incredible job with our organization since he started with us 4 years ago, and it is now time for him to take the next step,” said Soul owner Ron Jaworski. “Great things are about to happen with the League and we are confident Marc will ensure the Soul not only take advantages of the opportunities that will bring in Philadelphia, but be trendsetters that the other teams will follow.”

Zamarin, who has been with the Soul since 2014, will continue to oversee all day-to-day business operations in his new role, along with managing all football operations and all aspects of running the Soul organization.

“I’m very fortunate to have the opportunity to lead such a dynamic and passionate group of talented professionals,” said Zamarin. “Our commitment to providing the absolute best experience our fans and partners is what drives our decisions every day, and we look forward to delivering on that promise for years to come thanks to the adoption of new technologies, data integration, and future League expansion.”

With Zamarin at the helm in 2018, the Soul were recognized as the AFL’s Front Office of the Year. Prior to his role as Vice President of Business Operations, Zamarin had spent the previous seasons directing the Ticket Sales and Corporate Partnerships departments, resulting in continued annual growth. Earlier experience in the sports industry included stints in the National Football League with the New York Jets and Major League Baseball with the Houston Astros.
