AFL Announces Management Appointments in Team Services Group

Philadelphia, PA (September 16, 2019) –Today, the Arena Football League (AFL) announced several appointments for its Team Services Group.  George Manias will serve as Vice President of Team Services, Carly Griffin as Vice President of Team Finance and Dave Beck as Vice President for Ticket Sales for the AFL’s Team Services Group.  Bob Bulman has been named Chief Operating Officer of the Albany Empire and will oversee the local operations for that team.  The AFL’s Team Services Group, reports to John Adams, AFL President and Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for overseeing team operations across the League, and for establishing operations in AFL expansion markets.

Mr. Manias’ career in professional sports spans 19 years. In his new role as Vice President of Team Services, Manias will oversee the Team Services Group. Prior to joining the League office, he previously served as Chief Operating Officer for the Albany Empire, and President of Trifecta Sports and Entertainment. His previous experience includes serving as Senior Director of Partnership Sales for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Director of Corporate Sales for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and Vice President of Corporate Sales for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In her new role as Vice President of Finance, Ms. Griffin will oversee accounting and finance for each team. Prior to her new role, Griffin served as Controller for the Philadelphia Soul and Vice President of Finance for Trifecta Sports & Entertainment. Griffin also previously served as the Accountant for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and as a Senior Accountant for Five Below.

Formerly the Chief Ticketing Officer for Trifecta Sports & Entertainment, Mr. Beck will now serve as Vice President of Ticket Sales—Team Services Group. Additional past positions include Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service for The Albany Empire, Philadelphia Soul and Atlantic City Blackjacks, as well as Director of Sales for Live Nation. Beck was also with the New Jersey Devils for 16 years, serving as Vice President of Ticket Sales and Customer Service.

Mr. Bulman will take over as Chief Operating Officer for the Albany Empire as Mr. Manias moves to his position in the League’s Team Services Group. In this role, Bulman will oversee day-to-day operations, and will continue to grow the team following their recent victory  in ArenaBowl 32. Bulman joins the team after serving as Chief Operating Officer of Mohawk Valley Garden, the parent company overseeing the Adirondack Bank Center, Utica Comets (AHL) and Utica City FC (MASL).
