Mike Falvo Named Public Address Announcer

ALBANY, NY – The Albany Empire announce that Jeff Levack and Tom Goslowski will be the official In-Arena Hosts of the Albany Empire for the inaugural season and Mike Falvo will be the public address announcer.

Currently co-hosts on the “Levack and Goz” show on 104.5 The Team ESPN radio, Levack and Goz will be pumping up the crowd and leading promotions during Empire game days.

“As part of the ultimate entertainment experience that we strive to provide, we know that we chose two In-Arena Hosts that will help deliver a great product,” said George Manias, Vice President of the Albany Empire.  “Levack and Goz have been working together for years and have a great rapport.  They have emceed past events for us, and we know that they will do a great job keeping the crowd engaged during timeouts on the field.”

Jeff Levack is a Capital Region native who has worked for over two decades in radio.  He is a graduate of Colonie High School and has remained in the area ever since.  Throughout his tenure as a radio host, Levack has worked in all genres of music.  He was a host on local stations such as PYX 106, WGNA, and The Edge, playing everything from classic rock, to country, to modern day rock music.  Levack has spent that past four years as the afternoon host on 104.5 The Team ESPN radio, covering local sports, the New York Yankees, New York Giants and many more.

“I have been a fan of arena football since the first game that I went to,” said Levack, reminiscing about the AFL being in Albany in the 1990’s.  “I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Albany Empire organization and bring football back to the Capital Region!”

Tom Goslowski has been in sports radio for seven years.  A graduate and football player at Hobart University, Goz debuted his radio career as the host of WHWS’s Sports Hours show in Geneva.  Two years later, Goz made the move back to his hometown of Syracuse, where he took a job in CBS Sports Radio and hosted “The First Quarter” every weekday morning.  Throughout his career working in Syracuse, Goz hosted shows for the Syracuse Chiefs (Washington Nationals triple-A affiliate), and the Syracuse University football and basketball teams.  Goz, a diehard football fan, is a certified voter for college football’s Heisman Trophy.  He began at 104.5 The Team as the producer for the afternoon show, before making his debut with Levack as one of the show’s hosts.

“I am looking forward to an incredible season with the Albany Empire,” said Goz. “I can’t wait to get started with the team and I am excited to be entertaining Empire fans on game days!”

The Empire also announce that Mike Falvo has been named as the public address announcer for the team’s inaugural season.  A “PA” career that started in high school as he was volunteered by friends, Falvo fell in love and has been announcing sports ever since.  After finishing up high school, Falvo joined the Air Force, where he would continue his announcing efforts wherever he was stationed.  During this time, Falvo called basketball and football in England and Portugal.  After his time in the Air Force, Falvo moved back to his hometown just outside of Utica where he worked for a local television station.  Falvo made his way to Albany where he is currently the PA Announcers for RPI’s men’s and women’s basketball games and the Albany Patroons.
